Facilities

Our facilities include:

  • 1 floodlit indoor school
  • 2 floodlit outdoor schools
  • Cross country course (approx. 2’3”)
  • 850 acres of farm land and woodland for hacking (mainly off-road)
  • Full/part livery, DIY livery and DIY-assisted livery, on two yards.

A major attraction of Honnington is the beautiful hacking countryside. For the more adventurous rider, it's possible to hack through woodland, rivers and fields, past lakes, up and down hills, for hours on end. The farm is divided into 2 areas. There is a small amount of roadwork required (approximately 8 minutes) to hack between the 2 plots.

The indoor school at Honnington measures 40m x 20m; the outdoor schools are approximately 70m x 30m and 20mx40m.

As of September 2011 HEC is restructuring the equestrian centre, with the yard being split into two definitive sections:

  1. Honnington will comprise of twenty boxes, which will be let to Sarah Travis, trading as Honnington Equestrian, which will provide for Part, Full, Training and Competition Liveries
  2. The DIY yard will move to Nightingale, just across the road from Honnington, and will comprise of about twenty boxes offering DIY and Assisted Livery services.
