The weather was perfect if a bit blustery, the idyllic surroundings of our custom built show ground with fabulous views of the downs making up for it.
We had a great number of pre-entries and a decent turnout on the day. Although we provided a gymkhana and handy pony ring, the main attractions were the Ridden, Working Hunter, Show Jumping and In Hand classes which were all very popular with a good level of competition from non members and members alike. The day proceeded as planned with some great displays of horsemanship and successful smiling happy competitors, some of whom enjoyed receiving vouchers and championship trophies as just reward for their efforts.
All levels of competitors from young beginners at their first show to competitors of affiliated show standard enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. General feedback from those who attended was that they really enjoyed the day, competitors and parents were pleased to see such a wide ability range catered for and many people were keen to return. The judges commented that the show ground was of a high standard and the show was very well organised for a Riding Club debut.
